KamiMickens LLC is deeply committed to community service and direct engagement that creates positive, measurable impact beyond monetary donations. Since 2017, our founder has been actively involved in serving the homeless community in Dallas—beginning by personally helping serve meals and provide compassionate support to individuals experiencing homelessness, and later volunteering with OurCalling, a Dallas-based nonprofit that offers comprehensive, dignity-centered services to unsheltered neighbors.

OurCalling serves Dallas’s homeless population through a zero-barrier outreach center that provides meals, showers, laundry, clothing and hygiene resources, and connections to essential services such as medical care, VA benefits, housing assistance, and recovery programs—all delivered with intentional relational care. They also deploy Street Outreach teams to actively engage unsheltered individuals where they are living, helping to connect them with services and pathways off the streets, and in 2024 helped more than 1,300 people exit homelessness.

Through this volunteer work, our founder supported meal service and guest engagement, contributing directly to the organization’s mission of caring with dignity, connecting intentionally, and creating healthy community—core principles that now inform KamiMickens LLC’s own approach to community impact. This commitment is reflected in how we hire, mentor, and empower team members: prioritizing local hiring, workforce development, and culturally respectful service that uplifts individuals and strengthens community ties. Our engagement philosophy emphasizes measurable impact through time-invested service, direct support for vulnerable populations, and holistic empowerment, advancing social wellbeing in the communities where we operate.
